Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus has officially moved from English Premier League champions Arsenal to Spanish La Liga champions FC Barcelona.
Jesus joined Barcelona on a three year deal with the transfer fee reportedly set at 10 million euros with four million euros in potential add-ons.
29 year old Gabriel Jesus fell down the pecking order at Arsenal after suffering a serious knee injury that limited his impact over the past two seasons.
Following the arrival of more attacking talent in Christos Tzolis this offseason, Jesus’ time with The Gunners was up and Barcelona jumped at the opportunity to sign him after their attempts to sign Julian Alvarez fell through.
“Everyone knows me; I had two difficult years, but my qualities are well known, and this situation made things easier.”

“I’m very excited to be at such a big club. All my life I’ve played in three or four attacking positions, on the wing, in the middle… on both sides.”

“I’ve worked very hard. I was on the sidelines at Arsenal, but I was hoping for good things. I’m very fit physically; my knee isn’t a problem. It’s in the past. I recovered well. I played well at Arsenal. I didn’t play for other reasons” Jesus said at a presser after joining Barcelona.
