Ghana forward Mohammed Fuseini has officially joined English Football League (EFL) Championship side Derby County.
The Black Stars forward joined Derby County from Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Union Saint-Gilloise on a season-long loan deal.
24 year old forward, Fuseini, was expected to join Championship side Birmingham City from Union but the fell through that gave Derby County the chance to step in and sign him.
Fuseini played 27 games in all competitions for Union last season including UEFA Champions League games against Bayern Munich and Atalanta and registered three goals.
He won the Belgian League and Belgian FA Cup with Union and earned his call up to Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars during his time with Union.
However, Fuseini was the target of a robbery attack in Belgium during the offseason but was unharmed; he reportedly lost 8,000 euros in the attack.
Union Saint-Gilloise’s Ghanaian winger Mohammed Fuseini was violently attacked by five men in Brussels.
They took his phone and a Rolex Datejust (worth between €8,000 and €14,000 euros)
