AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has described his team’s 3-1 win over city rivals Inter Milan as an “amazing” one.
In his first season at the club following his stint with Manchester United, Amorim guided his team to win the first Milan derby of the 2026-2027 season.
Adrien Rabiot and Diego Moreira, who recovered from injury after missing a midweek clash against Bologna, made their return by scoring a goal apiece in the contest with American forward Christian Pulisic adding one a few days after signing a new four year deal with the club.
Speaking to DAZN Italia after the win, Amorim was happy that his team shows signs of improvement by stating that,

“I was happy with a lot of things, we started really well, they are very strong in the air, but we changed the way we addressed the game, I think compared to other games, we are improving.”

“The environment is amazing, the passion, it’s completely different to any derby I experienced. I am really happy for the players.”
