Qatar 2022: Four Ghana-based coaches added to Black Stars backroom staff for World Cup

Four locally-based coaches have been added to the coaching team of the Black Stars of Ghana for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

A total of 21 individuals will serve as the backroom staff for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to the Sports Minister, these four coaches – Ibrahim Tanko, Prosper Ogum, Samuel Boadu and Ignatius Osei Fosu have been added to “provide additional support” to Otto Addo and the coaching staff.

“I must report that, four top local coaches; Ibrahim Tanko, Prosper Ogum, Samuel Boadu and Ignatius Osei Fosu will provide additional support and also use the platform to gain experience, confidence and exposure,” he said.

The Black Stars will be led by Otto Addo, who is being assisted by George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.

Chris Hughton serves as the Technical Advisor to the team, with Richard Kingson as the goalkeeper’s trainer.

The backroom staff will also feature two match analysts, a video analyst in the person of Edward Acheampong and Henry Asante Twum, the Media Manager.

Dr. Prince Pamboe will continue his role as the Team Doctor while Romeo Ricky Roy and Samuel Ankomah serve as Fitness Coach and Masseur respectively.
