Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel “The Game Boy” Tagoe” will be in action for the first time this year with a confirmed bout against Keyshawn Davis scheduled for April 8.
For Ghana’s Tagoe, he will put his record of never being knocked out in a bout since suffering a fifth round technical knockout in his first ever professional fight against Lante Addy in June, 2004.
The upcoming fight is set to be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey in the United States of America. The 10 round lightweight division bout is the first fight for either boxer.
April’s fight is Davis’ first time fighting over 10 rounds after excelling in eight round bouts over the course of his fledgling professional career since winning silver at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Davis is ESPN’s Prospect of the Year in 2022 and has a record of seven wins in seven fights while Tagoe has 32 wins and two losses in his career and is coming on the back of a unanimous decision loss to Ryan Garcia last year.
The Davis-Tagoe fight opens a fight slate that has unbeaten lightweight contender Shakur Stevenson taking on Japan’s Shuichiro Yoshino.
