We recognize Isaac Dogboe but we don’t recognize Richard Commey- Ghana Boxing Authority Prez

Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) President, Abraham Neequaye Kotei, has slammed Richard Commey while giving his blessing to Isaac Dogboe ahead of the latter’s fight this weekend.

Dogboe takes on Cuba’s Robeisy Ramirez on Sunday, April 2 at 3:00 AM for the vacant WBO featherweight title and recived all the backing from the GBA’s boss.

Commey who recently lost via a 11th round knockout to Jose Ramirez in a super lightweight, has been at odds with the GBA after refusing to pay dues to the body and and the GBA president did not shy away from having a go at Commey.

“Richard Commey is not ready to support the GBA to grow so…we recognize Isaac Dogboe. I don’t see him-Commey-as a Ghanaian boxer because he doesn’t contribute anything to Ghana boxing. Isaac Dogboe has come to pay his dues. He said if it’s about development, I will help to develop. For people who don’t want to help the Authority, the Authority is not in a position to support them in anything.”

Dogboe heads to Sunday’s fight on the back of four straight wins after losing to back to back fights against Emmanuel Navarette.
