Chief Executive Officer of the Right to Dream Academy, Eddie Mensah, has hinted the academy will continue on a steady rise regarding nurturing the next big young talent to emerge from their ranks.

He made this assertion on the back of the exploits of some players in the European space, including Mohammed Kudus of Ajax, and Ernest Nuamah of Nordsjaelland, who both passed through the ranks of the academy.

In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Eddie Mensah expressed confidence in the Academy to deliver some great talents in the next two years and hopes their success will inspire generations to come.

“In the next two years, there are a couple of midfielders, I think are very exciting.”

“I think they will play a big role in the future of Ghana football.”

“The headline for me is one of real excitement because at the very least we have a new destination for our players, to really go there and shine and develop their talents.

“The second headline for me is a moment of pride for Ghana, something that started here, a seed sown here has really grown to reach far.”

“We are not perfect, but I hope that our success will inspire other people, to emulate what we do at [Right to Dream Academy], and put their own twist on the development of Ghana football.”

Right to Dream Academy has developed numerous world-class players who have gone on to play at the highest level for club and country in the MLS, the UEFA Champions League, and FIFA World Cup

Seven graduates represented their countries in the 2022 World Cup, including several players in the Ghana national team, the Black Stars.

The joint acquisition of San Diego FC by Right to Dream Academy and an American business group represents an extraordinary achievement for African football.

The acquisition of San Diego FC provides Ghanaian, Egyptian, and other African youngsters trained at the Right to Dream Academy with a prestigious platform to further hone their skills and excel at the highest level.

San Diego FC, set to make its MLS debut in 2025 at Snapdragon Stadium, will serve as the flagship destination for the talented graduates of the Right to Dream Academy.
