Bono Ahafo Regional Football Association Chairman Raphael Gyambrah believes the time is right for him to be part of the policy making body of Ghana football-the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports on the sidelines of the GFA Awards as an aspirant for an EXCO seat at the Premier League level.
Gyambrah, who has spent time in various positions with Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea, talked about the motivating factor behind his decision to run for an EXCO seat.
“With this experience that I have acquired over the years, I felt the time was right for me to be part of the policy making decision of Ghana football. If you have been part of the system right from juvenile level right to the level that I am now, it is only fair that you get to be part of the policy making so that we are able to come up with policies which will inure to the total development of football in Ghana.
It is the reason why I have decided to change portfolios and to contest for Premier League EXCO.”
The GFA Elections were scheduled for September 27 in Tamale but an injunction has been placed on the elections.
