President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Ben Nunoo Mensah, is eyeing Ghana getting at least two or three boxers to qualify to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris later this year.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports ahead of Ghana’s Amateur Boxing Team (the Black Bombers) impending trip to Bangkok, Thailand to compete in qualifiers for the Paris Games.

In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, the GOC President downplayed the level of distractions connected to the team’s trip to Asia and spoke about his optimism on the qualifiers. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“We try to keep money related issues out of athletes domain. Athletes are supposed to just focus on their training and prepare for the Games. Monies and other administrative issues will be taken care of by the administrators. Money is not an issue.”
