Ghanaian swimmer Harry Stacey feels grateful for the support he received when he made his debut in the Olympic Games.
Stacey competed in the Men’s 100 Metre Freestyle Heat 4 and finished seventh in the event with a time of 51.12 seconds. Stacey missed out on qualifying to the semifinals and improving his personal best of 50.57 seconds. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“It was good. The crowd was amazing. Just seeing my family in the crowd as well, seeing the Ghana people coming to come and support me, I heard them all cheering so I’m really grateful for the support. My first 50 metres wasn’t my best but the second 50 coming back, I did what I normally do.”
“I knew a couple of people in my heat and it was fun racing them. And yeah just a good overall experience.”
