Chief Executive Officer of Hasaacas Ladies, Evelyn Nsiah Asare, has bemoaned the absence of four key players for its WAFU Zone B competition in its failed bid to qualify to the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Hasmal Ladies trailed Nigeria’s Edo Queens and Burkina Faso’s Omnisport in the final standings after drawing goalless with Omnisport and losing 3-0 to Edo Queens but recovered to beat AS Garde of Niger 6-1.
Speaking exclusively to ChannelOne Sports, the Hasaacas Ladies CEO pointed to the absence of players like Mukarama Abdulai to injury and three other players’ involvement in the Black Princesses 2024 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
“We had to release our three best players. Three!!! When you through our records, the players who helped us win the league, they were up there (in terms of rankings)…and you have about 11 players who are playing your team and four are gone and these four are in your critical areas, how can you go and win? You cannot.”

Ghana’s National Women’s Under 20 Team’s head coach, Ysuif Basigi, doubles as head coach of Hasaacas Ladies and missed the WAFU competition due to his involvement in the Black Princesses preparation.
