Head coach of Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team-the Black Queens- Nora Hauptle, has complained about the lack of preparation games for the Black Queens ahead of the 2025 Women’s AFCON.
The next Women’s AFCON takes place in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025 with Ghana among the 12 teams that have qualified to compete in the tournament.
Ghana missed out on featuring in the 2022 edition but under Hauptle, the team beat Namibia 2-1 on aggregate in the final qualifier to make it to Morocco.
However, Hauptle has complained about the lack of friendly games for the Black Queens via her Linked In platform at a time reports indicate that she has reportedly quit her role.
“I believe that success is built over continuous development steps of the performance. Providing…for our players as many high-performance game exposure as possible is key” a portion of her statement read.
