The GFA President will meet with Asante Kotoko’s leadership at the club’s secretariat.
This closed-door meeting is part of a strategic effort to improve security measures at various venues in response to Pooley’s death.
Later today, he will also visit the family of Francis Frimpong, also known as Nana Pooley, who was fatally stabbed at Nana Kronmansah Park during a Matchday 19 clash between Nsoatreman FC and Kotoko.
During his stay in Kumasi, President Okraku will hold additional closed-door discussions with top personalities in the city to address ongoing concerns.
The incident has spurred broader action: following a joint statement from Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak demanding enhanced security, Mr. Okraku met with both clubs on Monday at the GFA headquarters in Accra.
Since the regrettable incident, the GFA President has engaged various stakeholders to find lasting solutions to matchday safety and security concerns.
He has already held meetings with Premier League clubs, match commissioners, and the Ghana Supporters Union, all aimed at addressing the need for improved safety measures in the wake of Pooley’s untimely death.”
