A few weeks ago, Nations Football Club forward Emmnauel Annor, scored his fourth goal in Nations’ 2-0 win over Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
He proceeded to celebrate the goal by taking off his jersey to display an “I Belong To Jesus” inscription on his shirt in a move the breached the Ghana Football Association’s rules on displaying religious and political messages.
Annor was subsequently fined 500 Ghana Cedis for the act and looked to have heeded to Nations head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle’s caution to his players to not repeat the act after scoring in Nations FC’s 4-1 win over Legon Cities on Monday, May 19 at the University of Ghana Stadium. Annor tucked the ball into the bottom right side of the net after a brilliant run and checking the ball on to his stronger foot (right) to create space for the shot in the 66th minute.
Former Bechem United player Annor, knelt and pointed to the sky with his jersey still this time around to celebrate the goal.
