Major Retired Amarkai Amarteifio, Chairman of the Committee on set up to investigate the events surrounding the death of Nigerian boxer Gabriel Olanrewaju, is hoping for “good things” to come out of the report that the committee has submitted to the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams.
He said this while handing over the report the seven man committee submitted to Sports Minister Kofi Adams after the committee was set up on April 8 to investigate the death of 40 year old Olanrewaju in February this year.
Former Ghana Boxing Authority President Peter Zwennes and veteran sports Journalists Ekow Asmah and Samuel Bartels (ESQ) are members of the committee. While handing over the report to Sports Minister Kofi Adams, Major Retired Amarteifio said,
“I hope that very good things come out of this report, this report becomes the platform for reform, urgent reforms, very urgent reforms.”
