Seven time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has pulled out of a car tyre test to attend to his ill dog, Roscoe who was in coma.

Roscoe, a 12 year old bull dog, went down ill with pneumonia and in the course of treatment including sedation, his heart stopped beating.

However, Hamilton confirmed that hospital officials had helped restore Roscoe’s heartbeat and the bulldog was recovering from the illness that forced the British Ferrari Driver to withdraw from a tyre test with tyre company, Pirelli at Mugello in Italy.

“They managed to get a heartbeat back and now he’s in a coma. We don’t know whether he will wake from this. Tomorrow we’ll try to wake him up. I’m by his side and want to thank you all for your prayers and support” Hamilton wrote on his Instagram page.
