Defending Formula One Champion Lando Norris has extended his contract with Team McLaren till the end of the 2030 season.
Norris made the announcement at a friends and family day at McLaren where he went on to state that he was happy to stick with McLaren and didn’t want to change teams.
The contract extension comes on the back of Norris becoming McLaren’s first Formula One champion since Lewis Hamilton in 2008 after winning the title last season.
At the time of the contract extension, Norris ranked fourth in the drivers’ standings after winning the last two races that took place in Hungary and the Netherlands.
“I kind of want my whole career to be with McLaren because I’m happy here and I don’t want to change.”
“I want to fight with McLaren even when things are not going well and I want to win with McLaren when things are going amazingly well.”
“I’ll be very, very happy at the end of my career to say that McLaren was the only team I’ve been with” he said.
