Black Stars midfielder Francis Abu is looking at an extensive time out of action after suffering a horrific leg injury in Ghana’s 2-0 loss to Japan in the KIRIN Challenge Cup.
Abu suffered the injury while attempting to block a shot attempt from Ao Tanaka early in the second half of the loss; Black Stars head coach Otto Addo described the injury as a serious one. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) provided an update stating that Black Stars Team Doctor Prince Pambo, Toulouse FC Team Doctor and Doctors at the Toyota Memorial Hospital in Japan, where Francis Abu is receiving treatment, have agreed on a management plan for the injured player.

The update added that Francis Abu is in a stable condition while wishing the former Cercle Brugge player a speedy recovery.
