Despite playing with a man up from the 13th minute, Manchester United failed to capitalize on the numerical advantage to score a win over Everton at home.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to the Toffees thanks to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s brilliant goal in the 29th minute just 16 minutes after Senegal international Idrissa Gueye was dismissed from the game for striking his teammate Michael Keane during a heated argument on the pitch.
The loss ended Man United’s unbeaten at five games that included three wins and two draws and prevented the Red Devils from moving up the standings from 10th place to a top five spot.
Speaking after the game to Sky Sports, Man United head coach Ruben Amorim shares his disappointment with the result and added that he was frustrated by the performance of his team.

“I’m feeling really frustrated, like any other person that supports Manchester United. We should be frustrated with the way we started the game and the way we didn’t understand how we should play against 10 men.

“They deserved to win. Everton were the better team.We didn’t control the transitions, even with 10 men. We were giving them big spaces to win second balls, so the understanding of every situation in the game was not there” Amorim said.

Man United next take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in London.
