American boxer Jake Paul has confirmed that he has undergone a successful surgery to fix the broken jaw he suffered in his fight with Anthony Joshua.
Paul suffered multiple knockdowns before getting knocked out by the former heavyweight champion in the sixth round in the early hours of Saturday, December 20 in Miami.
YouTuber- turned-Boxer, Paul, who used to be a feature on the Disney Channel, fought for the second time in his career as a professional boxer having competed in the ring mainly in exhibition fights.
The bout was streamed on Netflix’s 300 million subscribers and is expected to fetch each fighter at least $40 million but there were serious health concerns for Paul after his manager Nakisa Bidarian confirmed he had been hospitalized after the bout.

Paul confirmed the report by posting on X (formerly Twitter) that he had undergone surgery to fix the broken jaw he suffered against Joshua according to the Ring Magazine.

“Two titanium plates on each side. Some teeth removed. Everything went smooth. Thanks for all the love. Lots of pain and stiffness. Gotta eat liquids for 7 days” he wrote.

Jake Paul earlier on December 20 stated that he would take some time off to recover and return to fighting in his natural weight class-the cruiserweight division. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
