Arsenal delivered a commanding performance at the Emirates Stadium, defeating Wigan Athletic 4-0 in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday, February 15, 2026, to advance to the fifth round.

The Gunners started strongly, with Noni Madueke opening the scoring in the 11th minute following a defence-splitting pass from Eberechi Eze. Eze, in particular, showcased his creative brilliance throughout the match, later setting up Gabriel Martinelli for Arsenal’s second goal in the 19th minute.

Wigan’s woes continued when Jack Hunt inadvertently deflected a cross into his own net in the 23rd minute, handing Arsenal a 3-0 lead. Gabriel Jesus rounded off the scoring in the 27th minute with a deft chip over the Wigan goalkeeper Tickle, leaving the visitors shell-shocked.

The second half saw the Gunners rotate heavily, giving opportunities to youth players such as 16-year-old Marli Salmon, while goalkeeper Tommy Setford came on as a substitute for Kepa Arrizabalaga. Despite the changes, Arsenal maintained control, keeping Wigan largely subdued and finishing the game with a comfortable 4-0 margin.

Eze’s two assists marked him as the first Arsenal player since Hector Bellerin in January 2016 to register more than one assist in a home FA Cup match, underscoring his growing influence in cup competitions.

This victory represents a strong response from Arsenal following recent league setbacks, demonstrating depth and versatility across the squad as they continue their FA Cup campaign.
