Manchester City has booked its place in the FA Cup semi-finals with a commanding 4-0 win over Liverpool at the Etihad, as Erling Haaland starred with a sensational hat-trick.

City cruised to a 4-0 victory to book their place in the semi-finals, while piling more pressure on a Liverpool side going through a difficult transition.

Haaland stole the show. He opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 39th minute, added a second with a powerful header and an assist from Antione Semenyo before half-time. Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo added the third goal in the 50th minute to cap a dominant performance. Halaand completed his hat-trick early in the second half.

It was a frustrating match for Liverpool. Mohamed Salah missed a penalty and struggled to make an impact, summing up a poor outing for the Reds.

With Salah expected to leave at the end of the season, this could go down as his final FA Cup appearance in a Liverpool shirt, marking the possible end of an era for one of the club’s modern greats.

Manchester City’s victory keeps alive their remarkable run in the competition, as they reach yet another semi-final and continue their dominance in domestic cup football.

City’s win keeps their strong run in the competition going, as Pep Guardiola continues to push for more trophies. For Liverpool and manager Arne Slot, questions remain about the team’s direction.
