Kumasi Asante Kotoko has announced plans to take “decisive measures” following what the club described as a disappointing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.
In a statement released on Monday, May 25, the Board and Management of the Porcupine Warriors expressed dissatisfaction after the club finished eighth on the league table, a position they admitted falls “far below the standards, expectations, and ambitions” of the club.
Kotoko acknowledged that the season’s performance was unacceptable and assured supporters that changes would be made ahead of the next campaign.
“Decisive measures will be taken to ensure the club returns to the level befitting its rich history and stature,” the statement said.

The club also apologised to supporters for the frustrations caused during the season and thanked fans for their unwavering support throughout the campaign.
“We sincerely apologise for the disappointment and frustration caused by our performance this season,” the statement added.
Kotoko further pledged to rebuild a stronger and more competitive side capable of restoring the club to the summit of Ghanaian and African football.
The Kumasi-based club ended the season outside the title race and missed out on the top positions, increasing pressure on management to make significant changes before the start of the 2026/27 season.
