Nations FC have been officially relegated from the 2025-2026 Ghana Premier League after finishing 16th in the standings.

Stephen Frimpong Manso’s team beat Karela United 1-0 but that win wasn’t enough as Swedru All Blacks’ 2-1 win over Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi pushed Nations into the Access Bank Division One League.

Nations ended the campaign with 12 wins, eight draws and 14 losses to crash out of the top flight division; Nations managed to beat Karela without captain Razak Simpson who featured in Ghana’s international friendly game against Mexico that ended in a 2-0 loss for the Black Stars.

Despite getting relegated, Nations are scheduled to take on Dreams FC in the all Ghana Premier League tie in this season’s MTN FA Cup Final on Sunday, May 31 at the University of Ghana Stadium.

The winner of the tournament qualifies to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup; which is a major reason that motivates teams to deliver their best to win the MTN FA Cup according to Wilson Arthur. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
