Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has backed teammate Austin Reaves to find his shooting touch as Reaves continues to struggle with his shooting stroke.
Since recovering from an oblique strain that forced him to miss a month before returning to feature in the Lakers’ playoff run, Reaves has scored just two of 17 three point shot attempts.
In the Lakers’ 90-108 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game One of the second round playoffs series, Reaves scored eight points.
The shooting guard converted just three of 16 field goal attempts in the loss; he added five rebounds and six assists but committed four turnovers.
Speaking after the loss to reporters, LeBron James, who registered 27 points, was confident that Reaves will get back to his best.
“He was out a month. We know he’s going to make shots and make plays, but that’s tough.”

“Obviously we’re trying to fast-track him, getting back on the floor and doing the things that he was doing before the injury. His presence alone helps us no matter what” LeBron said.

Game Two of the series is on Friday, May 8.
