Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz says the team deserves to celebrate earning expensive points at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup. (Scroll down to watch video)

He said this after Ghana drew goalless with England in a contest that left England frustrated after largely struggling to break down the Ghanaian defensive set up.

Drawing against England meant that Ghana are yet to concede a goal two games into their World Cup campaign after beating Panama 1-0 in its opening game.

Speaking in a post-game presser, Carlos Queiroz said earning points in this World Cup is expensive and doing so is worthy of a celebration.

“To collect points in this World Cup, you have to pay a high price; the points are very expensive…the wins and points are terribly expensive. When you get three points and one point, you have to celebrate because it was a lot of runs, a lot of sacrifices, a lot of commitment…during the game” Queiroz said and added that,

“We had our chances to the point that they are lucky, they are very lucky. It was a clear penalty [on Prince Kwabena Adu by Ezri Konsa] and a red card. At the end of the day, that’s why I say it was a fair result.”
