Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti shared how happy he was with the performance of Vinicius Jr after the forward scored twice in Brazil’s latest win at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Real Madrid player scored a brace in Brazil’s 3-0 win over Scotland that got the Selecao to top Group C and qualify to the round of 32 stage.
Morocco finished in second place also with seven points but trailed Brazil on goal difference; Brazil ended the group phase with a difference of +6 goals while Morocco had a difference of +3 goals.
By scoring twice, Vincius Jr has registered four goals at the time of writing and won his third Man of the Match Award in a row leading Carlo Ancelotti to state,
“Well I feel very happy. I had no question in my mind of how far or well he’d come to this World Cup — it makes him happy to play for the national team. He [Vinicius]’s doing a brilliant job.”

“He also scored with a header, but I’m not the one who’s discovered Vini Jr. — he’s a top player. One of the best in the world.”
