The Black Stars have arrived in the United States to continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana departed Cardiff on Wednesday and landed in Washington, D.C., as the team entered the final phase of its build-up to the tournament.
The squad was welcomed on arrival by officials of the Ghana High Commission in Washington.

The Black Stars head into the World Cup on the back of a 1-1 draw with Wales in an international friendly, a performance that offered encouraging signs ahead of the tournament.

Head coach Carlos Queiroz and his players are expected to resume training on Thursday, with attention turning to tactical preparations and final adjustments before the competition begins.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11, with Ghana aiming to make a strong impact on football’s biggest stage. Ghana is drawn in Group L with Panama, England, and Croatia. Ghana’s first game is against Panama on June 17 at the Toronto Stadium in Canada.
