Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has called for patience as the team works to find the right balance under recently appointed head coach Carlos Queiroz.
He said this in a post-game presser with Sporty TV after Ghana lost 1-0 to Colombia to crash out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the round of 32 stage.
The loss ended Ghana’s campaign and possibly Jordan Ayew’s time competing at the World Cup after featuring in three editions.
Expressing his frustrations about the loss to Colombia, Jordan Ayew highlighted the limited time the team has had to work under Queiroz who was appointed in April this year.
“We have a new manager, he just came two months ago trying to install his style and people are adjusting. You don’t adjust within one month or two months, football doesn’t work like that.”

“You could see that defensively, we were better but we fell short a bit offensively so we have to find the right balance. The manager needs time; he’s a very good manager” Jordan Ayew said.
