The 22-year-old served seven aces and converted all five of her break point opportunities. Pegula hit two aces and broke serve three times from seven chances.

Gauff landed 63 percent of her first serves, winning 39 of 58 first serve points, while claiming 16 of 34 points behind her second serve. Pegula made 68.1 percent of her first serves, winning 28 of 49 first serve points and 12 of 23 on her second serve.

Gauff won 87 of the 164 points played, finishing with 53 percent of the total points compared with Pegula’s 77.
The victory sends Gauff into her first Wimbledon semifinal, where she will face either Naomi Osaka or Karolína Muchová for a place in the final.
