The Porcupine Warriors’ hopes were further dashed when Emmanuel Akesseh netted from close range six minutes before the break, doubling Olympics’ lead.
Akesseh tapped in from six yards after Kotoko goalkeeper, Asare parried Michael Oseiâs initial left-foot shoot.
Despite their efforts in the second half, Kotoko failed to equalize and were reduced to ten men after Richmond Lamptey received his second yellow card.
