Ghanaian forward Christopher Baah Bonsu has taken to the field for the first time in a training session since joining Belgian side KRC Genk.

The 18 year old signed a five year deal worth 5.2 million Euros to join Genk from Norwegian side Sarpsborg recently on the back of a break-out season in the 2022-2023 season. (Click highlighted text to watch video)

Baah Bonsu, who started out his career out with Shooting Stars Football Club, registered a goal and an assist in 12 league appearances in the immediate past campaign.

Genk beat out a handful of English Premier League clubs including Everton according to reports to land one of the highly rated prospects in Europe.

Baah Bonsu moved to Norway in March and despite playing just 988 minutes, he led the league with 59 dribbles to spark strong interest from a bevy of clubs.

He trained earlier today with his new team and bar a late sale, he is expected to pair with fellow Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil in Genk’s wing areas.

Paintsil produced 18 goals and 14 assists in 39 games in all competitions for Genk last season and has generated interest from Brighton and Hove Albion and Fulham.

Genk missed out on winning the Belgian League last season after finishing second in the Championship Round behind Royal Antwerp.
