Marcus Rashford ended his four-month goal drought in style, scoring twice as Aston Villa defeated Preston North End 3-0 at Deepdale to book their place in the FA Cup semi-finals.
The 27-year-old, on loan from Manchester United, last found the net in December but finally broke his barren spell in the 58th minute, tapping in Lucas Digne’s cutback. Five minutes later, he calmly converted a penalty after Morgan Rogers was fouled, ensuring Villa stayed on course for their first FA Cup triumph since 1957.

Jacob Ramsey sealed the win with a stunning strike from the edge of the box, again set up by Digne, as Villa reached the semi-finals for the first time in a decade.
Rashford, who has looked rejuvenated under Unai Emery, received a standing ovation from Villa fans when substituted late on.

His resurgence comes at a crucial time, with Villa still fighting on multiple fronts, including the Champions League and a top-four Premier League finish. They will now face Crystal Palace in the semi-finals at Wembley.
