Black Satellites head coach Desmond Ofei believes his team got its tactics right in its big matchup against Senegal at the CAF Under 20 AFCON in Egypt.
Ghana beat the defending champions 1-0 with Emmanuel Mensah scoring the winner in the 14th minute off an assist from Jerry Afriyie.
The win puts Ghana in second place in Group C behind leaders D.R. Congo on goal difference; Ghana is in pole position to progress to the quarterfinals.
Speaking in the post-game interview, Desmond Ofei lauded his guys for their performance in the close win stating,
“It was a very difficult game no doubt about that but tactically I believe we got it right. Senegal came at us with a very direct and physical approach. It wasn’t easy but our players showed great tactical discipline and fighting spirit throughout the game” and added that

“The boys followed the game plan, stayed organized and gave everything on the pitch. That’s all you can ask for as a coach.”
