Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah is confident about Kotoko’s chances of booking its place in the second round of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup despite having a shaky start in the continental competition.
Kotoko beat Nigeria’s Kwara United 4-3 at the Accra Sports Stadium with the exciting game having Amoah score twice including a converted penalty kick attempt that gave Kotoko a 4-2 lead in the 73rd minute.
However, Kwara scored a goal in the 85th minute to reduce Kotoko lead on aggregate heading into the second leg on Sunday, September 28.
For Kwara United head coach, Sanni Tunde, Kotoko got lucky in the first leg indicating that his team would beat the Porcupine Warriors in Nigeria but Amoah believes that won’t happen. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I think we played very well, we wanted to score more goals, we got the goals but a few mistakes at the back, we conceded three goals but…we are not giving up we are going there to qualify” he said.
