Football legend Wayne Rooney has seemingly called on Liverpool manager Arne Slot to drop Mohamed Salah from the team’s starting unit.
He indicated this on his podcast on the BBC after Liverpool lost 3-0 at Anfield to Nottingham Forest further piling pressure on the under-fire Dutch coach.
By losing to Nottingham Forest, Liverpool have picked up just a win in their last seven league games leading the defending champions to drop to 11th place in the standings.
As part of the solutions the former Man United striker proposed was to get Slot drop Salah to the bench to send a message to the rest of the team.
“If I was Slot, I’d try and make a big decision just so it has an impact on the rest of the team. Salah is not helping them defensively.”

“If you’re one of the players who they’ve signed and you’re on the bench and you’ve seen him not running…then what message does that send to you? Rooney said.

Salah dominated the immediate past season as Liverpool won the league title; the Egyptian won the best Player of the Year Award and top goal scorer award. He has four goals and two assists in 12 league games.
