Real Madrid defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has described teammate Federico Valverde as the most underrated player in world football.
He made this bold claim after watching the Uruguay international score a first half hat-trick to give Real Madrid a very significant 3-0 win over Manchester City in Spain.
The win was recorded in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round 16 stage with the return leg taking in England on March 18. Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo made his debut in the Champions League in the game.
“Massive performance. A lot of the noise when the draw was made and leading up to this game, especially with the way we have been playing and results we have had… a lot of people expected us to get battered tonight but it shows the mentality”

“I am running out of words for him [Federico Valverde] as a player. He is undoubtedly the most underrated footballer on the planet” the English midfielder said to TNT Sports.
