Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, October 10, with substitute Bruno Guimarães scoring the winner to send the Gunners back to winning ways.
Leeds took the lead in the 55th minute when James Justin turned home Gabriel Gudmundsson’s cross from close range.
Arsenal responded seven minutes later, with Riccardo Calafiori finishing inside the box after Ben White’s contribution to level the score.
The hosts completed the comeback in the 70th minute as Guimarães, introduced from the bench, fired a low shot into the far corner from the edge of the penalty area.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Bruno Guimarães said he’s eager to prove himself.
“It feels unbelievable. I felt in the last game against Brighton (Arsenal lost 3-0) we were not at the level. Today the mentality was bouncing back. This is my first official game at home. It feels unbelievable to score and it’s an important goal, three important points. Great finish and I am very happy.”

“Yes, I have been proving [myself] in the Premier League for the past five years so of course it’s a new challenge for me (at Arsenal), its always important to play.”

“The most important thing for Bruno is to go to the pitch and play the best football, I am very happy with that today” Guimaraes said to TNT Sports.
