Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has officially petitioned FIFA to investigate President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi.

According to the managing Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr, Anas and his Tigereye PI team sent the petition yesterday, Tuesday [June 5, 2018].

Kweku Baako said the petition was titled: “A petition to cause for an investigation of Kwesi Nyantakyi.”

[contextly_sidebar id=”g4ihrMEFjwASfn5jhXxwQIOXjUZ1KNEx”]He added that Anas is also “ready to appear in person to testify” against the embattled GFA president.

Nyantakyi who is also part of the Confederation of African Football’ Executive Committee and a member of FIFA’s Council was caught on video allegedly using the name of the President to seal some supposedly juicy and shady business deal.

A lot more other officials within the sports sector including hundreds of referees were also captured on tape by Anas and his team, allegedly taking bribes to fix matches.

President Akufo-Addo in May 2018 reported Mr. Nyantakyi to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service after watching excerpts of the film.

Speaking on Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Kweku Baako further said Anas has promised to give the “unedited videos” to the Ghana Police Service after the screening exercise slated for today, June 6, 2018.

He said Anas also assured to assist the CID in any way possible in their investigation.

Eddie Doku busted for allegedly taking bribe

In a related development, Eddie Doku, Greater Accra Regional FA boss, has been caught on tape allegedly taking a bribe to influence game time for a player in the Black Stars Team B during the 2017 WAFU Zone B tournament.

Doku was seen on tape as part of the investigative piece put out by investigative reporter, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, titled “Number 12.”

Doku, who was the chairman of the team’s management committee, took an unspecified amount of money to ensure that Hearts of Oak winger Patrick Razak got more minutes on the pitch for the team.
