GHALCA seek major representation on normalization committee

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) believe they should be strongly represented on the yet to be named normalization committee tasked to steer the affairs of football in the country.

The umbrella body for clubs in the country have taken steps in the wake of the revelations of the Anas documentary on corruption into football to set up a Reform Committee aimed at fine tuning some of its statutes and regulations.

“It is only reasonable that GHALCA should be given adequate representation.

You will realize that the clubs alone constitute nearly ninety percent of the membership of the GFA Congress.

Therefore it will be unwise for anybody to put together a normalization committee which will not have adequate representation of the clubs.

I don’t know how many people will constitute the normalization committee but the clubs must have a preponderance of numbers on it,”stated Jones Abu Alhassan, Chairman of the GHALCA reform committee when he spoke to Citi Fm.

The joint Fifa/Caf mission responsible for the setting up of the Normalization Committee for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have arrived in the country.

The team will spend three days in the country, and during that time span are expected to conduct eligibility tests on the individuals that will be proposed by government.
