Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori is on the comeback from a knee injury that kept him out of Ghana’s Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The shot stopper was in line to be named in the Black Stars squad that is set to compete in this year’s World Cup that commences on Sunday, November 20.
The Orlando Pirates keeper’s status was questionable ahead of Black Stars coach Otto Addo’s announcement of the 26 man squad after aggravating a knee injury he picked up a month ago.
Ofori aggravated the knee injury in Pirates 1-0 win over AmaZulu in the MTN 8 Final and scans revealed there was fluid around in his knee area at the time of the Black Stars squad announcement.
In the aftermath of missing out a place in Qatar, former Maritzburg United keeper Ofori was captured in a video working out in a gym targeting his core area.

Like Ofori, Joseph Wollacott was heavily tipped to be named in the Black Stars squad for Qatar but picked up a finger injury two days before the team was named and was subsequently left out.
Goalkeepers Ibrahim Danlad, Lawrence Ati Zigi and Manaf Nurudeen were called up to the squad.
