Black Satellites head coach, Desmond Ofei, says his team will “enjoy” the final game of the men’s football competition in the 13th African Games.

He said this after seeing Ghana’s National Men’s Under 20 Football Team qualify to the final by beating Senegal 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Substitute Michael Ephson’s goal in the 83rd minute secured the win for Ghana to set up a matchup against Uganda for the gold medal on Friday, March 22 at the Accra Sports Stadium at 20:00 GMT.

Addressing the media after the win, Ofei said the final game is for his boys and added that the team will enjoy playing in the final because it is the final game of a tournament.

“The final is for them-the boys. In my opinion, the training is for us (coaches), the match is for the players. The job is done before hand… the boys are well prepared for this tournament, they keep growing and their mentality is incredible.”

“They are very hungry, very humble…so towards the final, it’s a final we are going to enjoy it 100 percent.”
