Frederick Assor, Para-Athletes Commissioner on the National Paralympic Committee-Ghana Board, has called for the Norwegian Embassy to provide the letter from the NPC that allegedly cleared some individuals to represent Ghana at the Bergren Marathon in Oslo, Norway.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports as the fallout from the scandal continues in the face of Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, stating that he won’t take responsibility for the controversial issue.
President of the National Paralympic Committee-Ghana, Samson Deen, in a video, stated that his signature was forged in the reported letter used in processing of visas for the nine individuals who have purportedly absconded in Norway. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“That letter is what will settle the whole matter so the Embassy which says our people have run away should be able to bring that letter out that this is the letter from the NPC to clarify the matter that yes, it is NPC who gave the people authority that’s why they also issued them the visa. Without that, we can all be speculating.”
