Closure of the Accra Stadium comes on the back of Raja Casablanca head coach Rusmir Cvirko criticizing the playing surface after his side’s 2-2 draw with Ghana’s FC Samartex in the CAF Champions League.
Citi Sports sources can confirm that the stadia have been indeed shut for work to begin on improving facilities at the venues with some indicating that the renovation works could be done for the Accra Stadium to pass CAF’s inspection.
