Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo has officially joined Real Valladolid from fellow Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo on loan.
The loan transfer is expected to end at the close of the 2024-2025 season with the veteran defender aiming to get more game time.
At the time of his transfer to Valladolid, the 29 year old has played just three times including just an appearance in La Liga.
Valladolid rank bottom of the standings at the time of Aidoo’s transfer with Valladolid conceding a league worst 42 goals. Celta Vigo on the other hand, rank 13th.
Aidoo’s extensive run in Celta’s starting unit got halted due to a ruptured Achilles tendon early in the 2023-2024 season that forced him to miss significant time.
The Black Stars defender made his return prior to the start of the 2024-2025 campaign with Aidoo clearly overcome with emotions after playing competitive football for the first time in almost a year. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
