Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil has reacted sadly to the massive wildfires that have engulfed and destroyed several properties in the Greater Los Angeles area in the United States of America.
High end communities in Palisades, Eaton, Hurst and Sunset have been affected by the disaster with property belonging to celebrities including actor Billy Crystal affected.
In the wake of the disaster, Paintsil, who plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy, commiserated with the people of Los Angeles by posting a statement on his X (formerly Twitter) page.
Paintsil stated, “Praying with you, LA” as he reacted to the Galaxy’s statement on the latest wildfires to hit the entertainment capital of the world.
“Our heart aches for our city, and all those in Southern California affected by wildfires. We are grateful to the first responders and the many people working to protect our communities” the Galaxy statement read.

In his first season with the Galaxy, Paintsil won the MLS (Major League Soccer) Cup; the Black Stars player scored in the Galaxy’s 2-1 win over New York Red Bulls in the Cup Final.
Paintsil bagged 10 goals and seven assists in 29 regular season games and tucked on four goals and an assist in five games in the playoffs.
