The Porcupine Warriors faced a determined opponent, making their win all the more hard-earned.
Coach Prosper Ogum made several changes to his starting lineup, allowing fringe players to prove their worth.
Kwame Poku broke the deadlock just before halftime, converting a penalty after Saaka Dauda was brought down in the box. The goal gave Kotoko a 1-0 advantage heading into the break.
In the second half, Acceler8z FC showed resilience, forcing Kotoko to work hard to protect their lead. Substitute Henry Ansu provided a late spark, sealing the victory with a well-taken goal that brought relief to the home fans.
