Black Queens midfielder Ernestina Abambila says she is overjoyed after Ghana clinched bronze at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

Speaking moments after the team touched down at Kotoka International Airport, Abambila reflected on the team’s difficult journey throughout the tournament.

I’m so happy. I’m so, so happy about this, the journey was not easy though. We started pre-camp in Morocco, Benzala. It was not easy. We didn’t start the tournament so well. But we held on and stayed faithful. We achieved what we wanted.
