Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has seemingly dismissed early thoughts about running for the GFA Presidential seat for a third time.
He made this statement in his address during a presser following the conclusion of the 2025 GFA Ordinary Congress that took place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Tuesday, August 12.
His statement came on the back of congress delegates’ decision to increase the GFA Presidential term limit from two to three.
114 out of 124 delegates voted in favour of the motion in the highlight moment of the event with Kurt Okraku’s announcement of a two million Ghana Cedi reward for the winner of the 2025-2026 Ghana Premier League title serving as another highlight moment.
However, regarding his decision to contest the seat for a third time, the former FA Cup Committee Chairman brushed it aside stating,

“It is premature. We have at the minute, almost two and a half years to serve the Ghanaian game and when it comes to that time, I will make a decision just like many other people who are eligible to make a decision and to contest…so this should not be a topic for us.”
