Mere days before the super fight between Terence Crawford and Saul Canelo Alvarez, super middleweight title contender Crawford has dismissed rumoured concerns over his shoulder and weight.
Crawford who is stepping up three weight classes to fight Canelo for the undisputed super middleweight title on September 14 at 2:00 GMT at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas has reportedly been dealing with a shoulder injury during his training camp.
However, in an interview with Ring Magazine, the undefeated former undisputed welterweight champion brushed aside those concerns stating,
“I think people coming up with their own, you know, antics. You know, ‘Terence Crawford got a shoulder injury. Terence Crawford [is] out of shape. Terence Crawford’s slow.’ … They coming up with all kinds of stuff.”

“I’m at my natural weight,” Crawford said. “You know, me bulking up – a lot of people are taking [it] too far in that, ‘Oh, he’s slow. He’s bulked up. This and that. He’s fat, and this and that.’ I don’t care about all that. I just wanna fight” Crawford said.

Crawford, who turns 38 a fortnight after the fight, has 41 wins in 41 bouts with 31 knockouts; Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez has 63 wins, two losses and two draws in his storied career.
